On 14 November 2023, The Hummingbird school celebrated Children’s day. The creative teachers of the school made an out of the ordinary plan for the day. They organized a big fair inside the school boundary. There were various shops for games, snacks and shows for older as well as younger children. The students and parents were spellbound by the unexpected fair. “It’s so special and unique!” said an awestruck child as soon as he entered the school.
On reaching the school, the students were provided with fake money. It was for the use in the shops opened in the fair. And a map that gave information about the locations of the various shops was provided. As soon as people were inside the school campus, they visited the stalls of their likings.
The ‘Tattoo House’ was one of the most attractive shops in the fair. People got fancy tattoos like wolf, dragon, ghost and even snitch from the Harry Potter world. And there was this house called the ‘The Scary House’. It was a spooky house with human-ghosts frightening children. “What a shocking…..spooky and thrilling experience!”, exclaimed one of the students breathing heavily after coming out of the haunted house.
Then there was the ‘Smoked Chicken’ shop. An endless line was formed in front of it. There was also a shop which sold noodles, orange juice, pani-puris and many more delectable sweets which had many buyers at all times. Around noon, there was another unexpected surprise. The teachers came out of their shops and performed an extraordinary Flash Mob. Their performance made the students more delightful and enjoyable.
People must have seen diverse ways of celebrating Children’s day, but the Hummingbird’s celebration was indeed a special and unique one. Not a single student could have imagined how the day was going to be. The children were totally taken aback by the day’s celebration. What a wonderful day it was!
